Burning Man 2005: Desktops

With Burning Man 2005 just around the corner I noticed that some previous year's efforts were captured by satellite travelling over the Black Rock Desert.
 Unfortunately each nibble served out by Google Maps isn't big enough to be a satisfying desktop picture, so I zoomed into maximum available resolution and captured and assembled the tiles into a huge image that's the aspect ratio of my current laptop screen. It's big enough that it ought to be servicable for a few decades at least. Available are versions sized
Speaking of copyright, I waded through the terms and it seems to allow use of map imagery for uses other than commercial or business, so don't.

The Google copyright watermarks interspersed through the image are usually too subtle to see unless you're looking for them, but show up in a visually interesting way on the light playa surface. They don't distract from my enjoyment, scaled down as they are in the big image, making an interesting pattern of their own.
