Burning Man 1997: Denizens of the Dust
These are some photos which didn't seem to fit on the other pages. Here are some participants enjoying Cooperative Mandala camp.
![]() A bicycle-operated drink mixer. So, so tasty. Thanks! And the salt around the rim made it perfect!
![]() This was a year with lots of playa mud pits; people brought along a lot of extra water for making muck. Here are some people who rolled in the muck and mire and then stood stock-still as their crunchy outer coating dried.
![]() One of our neighbors decorating her homestead. The tiki torches were really wonderful as long as the wind didn't whip them up.
![]() Here's the playa golf driving range situated just on the other side of the outer road, across from our camp. No power ties were worn.
![]() The Home of the Bean King mobile, with followers enjoying the alcoholic libations.
![]() And lastly, a playa piano player. The music was just great, a relaxing addition to the playa environment (and all the alcohol I drank taking the photos on this page).
![]() Every once in a while I get to be in some of the pictures.
