Burning Man 1997: Denizens of the Dust
These are some photos which didn't seem to fit on the other pages. Here are some participants enjoying Cooperative Mandala camp.
A bicycle-operated drink mixer. So, so tasty. Thanks! And the salt around the rim made it perfect!
This was a year with lots of playa mud pits; people brought along a lot of extra water for making muck. Here are some people who rolled in the muck and mire and then stood stock-still as their crunchy outer coating dried.
One of our neighbors decorating her homestead. The tiki torches were really wonderful as long as the wind didn't whip them up.
Here's the playa golf driving range situated just on the other side of the outer road, across from our camp. No power ties were worn.
The Home of the Bean King mobile, with followers enjoying the alcoholic libations.
And lastly, a playa piano player. The music was just great, a relaxing addition to the playa environment (and all the alcohol I drank taking the photos on this page).
Every once in a while I get to be in some of the pictures.
