At the Burning Man Decompression Party, down on Mariposa at 16th, the Ranger Station is being set up. We're running two shifts, noon to 1800, and then to 23:59. I'm paired up with Rodent for the first shift. Ironic, the two "solo Rangers" working together :-)

I was told that this flaming pyramid with the all-seeing eye was another creation from the Flaming Lotus Girls. Very, very cool.

There was a hula contingent of about ten or fifteen people, doing amazing things with hula hoops.

For the second shift I'm with DisruptSean for several hours. After he leaves I notice gate crashers slipping through the fence. Sending them back whence they came, I see they've cut a hole in our rented Vulcan fence. We patch it up with wire and tie wraps. Sheesh, what some people will do for a few bucks.
