on to O'ahu!

Today was a very rainy day, the most in the last year. We planned on taking a boat ride upriver to the Fern Grotto, but instead headed back to the south shore, all the way to Hanapepe, but not all the way to Polihale. [Update: missing the trip today was a good idea - the river rose over five feet and flooded the parking lot.]

This is the Green Garden Restaurant in Hanapepe. During my last trip, later in the season, papaya fell from the trees into my car. This time of year they're not that ready to take the plunge.
