2001 Kaua'i: Sat 24 Feb 2001
Today we stayed close to home, swimming in water protected by the rock breakwater at Lydsgate Park in Kapa'a. It rained as we swam, but it only really got "cold" when the sun was blocked by the clouds. Earlier in the day we came across one of the few places to buy organic foods, Papaya in Kaua'i Center.
Isaac was so happy to see an avocado and tomato (in whole form) that he practically crawled out of my arms. We feasted on greenery ("rabbit food" as my Dad calls it) under the umbrellas outside of the store. The Kaua'i Children's Discovery Museum is next door (the building with the blue whale painted on the façade) but it was closed today. Perhaps we'll try later in the week.
