Album 1999.10.08 (b)

A month ago (or perhaps six weeks ago) Isaac hesitated before climbing through tunnels. These days he flies through them, especially when Rose or I might be visible from within.

It's fun playing with Isaac, watching his behaviors change from day to day and week to week. It's been a real pleasure working at home (at night) and being a family man during the day.

You might notice Isaac's rainbow-colored knit cap. We bought it at this year's Castro Street Fair.

Here's Isaac's first encounter with what I think used to be called a "hobby horse" (or was that the horse's head on a stick?).

The rocking quality bothered Isaac, so his happiness at being on top of something was tempered with a worry about falling off. It's interesting because he doesn't worry about falling in other contexts, such as a slide, but the wiggling instability is worrisome to our boy.

Speaking of slides, here's Isaac using one of the three slides at the center.

The most difficult slide issue isn't getting down, nor is it getting up (one of us is always at hand to assist), but collisions with other kids going up and down. Not everyone is nine months old, and some are older and more rambunctious, which can be an issue when deciding how to allocate one downward slope between three kids. Never a dull moment.

Once the playgroup is over we sing the "Goodbye Song" and head towards home, sometimes stopping at a sushiya to grab a quick lunch.

Have you found errors nontrivial or marginal, factual, analytical and illogical, arithmetical, temporal, or even typographical? Please let me know; drop me email. Thanks!
