It's been a long day at the center, so it's time for a nap after a quick snack.
Once upon a time Isaac was dwarfed by the anti-SIDS pillow on which he sleeps. Now the tables have been turned. He's growing like a weed. He's wearing one of the three fleece sleepers we recently bought. (A warm sleeper lets us have comfortable outside air breezing through the room.) They're already getting tight on him, despite being listed as appropriate for 18-month-olds.
Sometimes Papa needs to be in the kitchen, loading the dishwasher or cooking something. When Isaac wants to be held there's a conflict. The solution is to put Isaac next to the action, nearby but at a safe distance. Right now he's very happy in his activity center, especially when he's participating by holding on to his plastic dining plate. This sort of thing hold his attention, at least until he drops the plate on the floor.
Isaac is patient with his parents, who themselves are enjoying a second childhood.
For reasons I can't remember, it seemed like a good idea to put a stuffed beagle onto Isaac's head.
He doesn't let it stop him for a moment.
It's time to get dressed for an evening trip to the maternal grandparents.
