Burning Man 2003: Journal p. 27
Saturday, cont. - beloved fire tree of years past, the one where fire blew upwards as water fell down. A memorable playa shower.
I pulled out the Sony DCR-TRV20 and filmed the entire burn, from first flames to the collapse of the Mayan pyramid. So Isaac will see what actually happened, and not think the Man is standing alone in the deserted playa.
After the burn I bade farewell to my new acquaintances, then I did the same at the art car, and then I strolled back to Center Camp, navigating by the wall of strobes.
Once past the Center Camp structure for memories, check in my "permanent" Ranger radio, sign out of my shift, and back to our van we went; Isaac now somewhat awake.
