Burning Man 2003: Journal p.4
Monday, cont. - combined shade. Lila has a peer, Saffron, so she's happy. Isaac plays along, but I hope older kids arrive. Just before sunset, after I use my old MSR stove to cook up mac and cheese, eDave takes us for a playa tour in his "tree" art car. It's wonderful to see so much when one has kids along. We contribute fresh tomatoes to the potluck; tomorrow I'll cook something. We give the kids a quick shower and aloe their feet, as Zaphod (our Mayor) has described [to us]. The water collects in a plastic storage tub for evaporation tomorrow. We stroll the kids to sleep quickly. I set up the FRS radios for Rose and back to Ranger central, where I volunteer (to the shift leader on duty) for a patrol range between Center Camp and Kidsville. Bob was "khaki" last night; he accepted my offer. This "khaki" did too. As I was
