1995 Gran Canaria: Deutsche Gasthaus Atlantis
24 Oct 1995
Center to this trip was, of course, the writing of my book. Central to writing is good coffee. So where did I imbibe?
My café of choice was the Deutsche Gasthaus Atlantis, the restaurant in the Atlantis Uno complex. For the record, I chose this not because it was obscenely convenient, but because the food is exquisite, the staff is friendly, and the coffee has a delightful scent.
![]() The café-restaurant is run by a husband and wife, Rainer and Gisela. Paul is the chef extraordinaire (the one hefting the knife).
Rainer had hurt his arm a few weeks earlier, but it was healed by the time I uploaded these pages.
