We started out by putting Isaac on a large rocking horse. His feet couldn't reach the pedals, nor could he rock it himself, but - as you can see here - he was quite pleased with himself. The wheelbarrow full of straw was another winner.

One of the attactions of the pumpkin patch were cutouts of great art and not so great art. Our favorites included Edvard Munch's Scream (not pictured) and Grant Woods' American Gothic (at right). There were also seasonal panels, such as the witch at Isaac's own level.

During out trek we took a few breaks, once sitting alongside a few monsters from Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. Later on we took in all the pumpkins in our domain.

Pamela came along. Isaac and his aunt had a great time among the straw and pumpkins.

Other highlights of the day included a quick snack break and playing a duet with a classmate.

Later in the day Isaac found a smaller rocking horse. On this one his feet could reach the floor, giving him an amazing shot of self-confidence as he rocked back and forth and shrieked with delight.
