U. S. Army Major General Stanley A. McChrystal, Vice Director for Operations, J-3, Joint Staff, Department of Defense, fields reporters questions after a U. S. tank popped a round into the Palestine Hotel, killing reporters. |
Victoria Clarke, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs, said she regretted the deaths of the journalists but related that she'd repeatedly warned news media that 'war is a dangerous, dangerous business.' |

The reporters run out of the room at briefing's end. McChrystal's and Clarke's words were still in the news headlines eighteen hours later. |
