Burning Man 2003: Journal p. 20
Friday, cont. - returned to the playa just as it was getting cold. Isaac and Lila loved the art installations we'd seen (especially the one which used a helicopter turbine engine to drive spitting, roaring, multi-colored flames). Both fell asleep early on our second tour, so Rose and I got to chat about the rope of lights lofted by a balloon, the Chandelier Which Fell From the Sky, and my favorite of all: the Stones. I climbed the delicately-balanced multi-ton granite slabs with a team of firefighters. We were rocking that slab...
After the kids were safely in their beds, I went off to Ranger. I met a nice woman from Calgary, and a couple from San Jose whom I seem to meet each year. He always sports a green face and
