Burning Man 2003: Journal p. 8
Tuesday, cont. - The potluck was just amazing! Three soups/chilis in bread bowls, pastas, cous cous, fruit salad, and more. The kids were pretty tired so we didn't do as much socializing as I would have liked.
Kidsville got a private show from the Fire Conclave. The kids loved it. Isaac announced that he wants to blow fire too. As the kids started nodding off we took them on a nighttime stroller ride through center camp to the Man. There's nothing quite like the panopoly of lights and sounds of the open playa at night. Propane flamethrowers in the distance, art cars and art bikes, the Man lighted in blue atop the Mayan steps in red, the green LASER lancing above our heads, the music and prose from Center Camp....
All with rather pleasant weather. Neither scorching hot all day nor freezing cold at night.
