2000 Amsterdam - Leaving
April 2002, continued
Here our travels on high-speed trains (like the Eurostar) comes to an end. We board a Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Railways) train and head slowly towards Münster. It's on our way out of Holland that I spot the first windmill I see on this trip.
![]() I'm not sure it shows from this picture, but we're tired. Really tired. The bags are still very heavy (lots of things to give to Oma) and we've done a lot in our days in Amsterdam. Time to rest.
![]() The train picks up speed between the stops, and soon we're over the border. The architecture changes, and I see housing like I saw first as a child, growing up in Holland and visiting my maternal grandmother in Ahlen, [West] Germany.
![]() Soon we're in Münster, with Oma.
