A little while later we stop in a clearing and plan the rest of our trip.

As we drop below a certain altitude houses begin to appear. The path back winds through these homes, and we find ourselves looking at a great variety of architectural styles just beyond the fences and flowered aisles.

Isaac is protected against the alpine sun. (Yes, that's my Burning Man Ranger hat.)

Finally, near the end of the day, we notice a mountainside of wild berries. Ignoring the prickles we scramble up the hill again and again, filling our bellies with succlent sweet products of the mountain. Mmmmm, fruits of the earth.

At long last we arrive home. Tomorrow will be another adventure.
