Lila's 3rd Birthday Party
Sunday 24 October 2004
Lila turned three around Burning Man 2004, and we celebrated at her pre-school. But we didn't get a chance to have the big family celebration until yesterday. Here's Lila's 3rd Birthday Party. (Most of our efforts were in taking video, so I can make another family movie. Our still pictures are pretty sparse. Mea culpa.)
![]() My darling wife Rose made a great spread of healthy, organic, snacks. My favorite are the heirloom tomatoes with mozarella and a Swiss spice called Cenofix. This is Rose with with her mom ("Bubbie").
![]() Cousin Isaac was absolutely thrilled to be able to hold baby Matthew, 5 months old today. Behind him is the front garden of our cottage.
![]() There's proud papa Neil (at left) with Dziadziu and Zadie Leonard. They're in the nook, discussing issues of note (or kvetching about my speed in delivering the coffee and cake.
![]() Here's my Dad's flatmate, Zofia, who you might remember from their cross-country trip. And on the door is an enamel souvenir from Isaac's favorite place.
![]() Here's Kevin, the father of my god-kids. He's the reason I first visited Tucson, Arizona, where he and his rapidly-growing family were living at the time.
![]() And here are the god-kids, chowing down on the delectibles we had Zante Indian Pizza deliver. Leading the way is Kaeli...
![]() ...and here's Natalie. (I don't get nearly enough time with them, despite being only a few miles away.) In the background is Aunt Mindy, Matthew's mother.
![]() Here's Aunt Pamela.
