Waller Street
From 1988 to 1996 I lived on Waller Street, at Masonic Avenue, in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. Around the corner from my place was The People's Café, where I wrote my first book, lived wireless long before coverage was available to the public, lived the technomad life, and was interviewed by ECIFFO magazine.
I didn't save a lot of photos from those years, and I haven't spent a lot of time scanning in my photos on paper, but here's a panorama of the view from my living room north, past the panhandle of Golden Gate Park. That's me sitting in my SkyChair, working on my PowerBook with my cat Cappy in my lap.
