2000 St. Ives, Cornwall: Welcome
The middle of May, 2000, continued
Here's a view of St. Ives - St. Eia in the local Cornish tongue - taken as we journeyed from the train station (on high) to our lodgings on Fish Street (low, on the water's edge).
![]() Luckily I had a map handy - only a close-up is shown - so finding the intersection of Fish Street and The Wharf was easy. We were lucky that our lodgings, the Capel Cottages, were so centrally located. (The red arrow, once again, shows the way.)
![]() Another hotel room, another set of explorations for Isaac. (He's been a really good traveller, better than most adults we know.) Here, in the glory of the bathroom, Isaac finds his place in the world. Whether it's just opening and closing the door repeatedly or dropping his toys into the bathtub (to make that delightful bathroom echo), he's happy.
![]() Enough with the new room! Let's step outside and walk along The Wharf and see a British seaside resort.
