Hey Senior Ranger!

Are you back from the Canary Islands?? Perhaps this message will find you.

I'm on the part of my journey that takes me through the northeasternmost parts of California. Yesterday I was at Mount Shasta, last night in Susanville, and today I go visit Mount Lassen enroute to Modoc National Forest area. This area of California is beautiful. And these mountains are sacred and serene, just like our little Mt. Tam.

I plan to make a pilgrimage to the Playa, by coming down Rt 447 out of Modoc County, CA enroute to Reno. And I'm about to email Ranger T-Cloud to see if he can put this BR Ranger up for the night in Reno.

I plan to briefly return to the Bay Area at the end of this week; to collect mail, deposit checks, and pay bills. I will be looking for places to stay overnight/shower for the few days. Could you put up with me...er....put me up for a night? I just need 6ft x 3ft space for thermarest, sleeping bag, pillow, & me.

Here's a picture from my trip through the Smith River Redwoods up near Crescent City, CA. Soon I start a journal of my travels.

I hope you & Sattler clan are well. I hope to sneak a visit in with you at the end of this week.
