2003 Gran Canaria & London
For the first time since the economic dot-com collapse in December of that annus horribilis, 2000, we're leaving the country! We're heading back to Gran Canaria & London; to visit great-grandmother Oma Marga and then to recover.
Because it's a family-oriented trip I'm not unhappy to retrace my steps: I spent many, many summers and winters in Playa del Inglés, Gran Canaria, including several trips for which travelogues are available.
We've done London before, including 1999 and 2000. Isaac has been there twice; this wil be a first for Lila. The only point of concern is the weather in London. In February it ought to be colder than any place we've taken the kids. We did Roma in Deciembre, but we hit a warm spell and were spared the tribulations. Our very early springtime in Paris was the closest we've come, and it was a challenge (which we mitigated by spending quality time in the musée du Louvre playing Identify That Animal :-).
So, without further ado, let's start our trip by flying from SFO to LPA via three legs.
