2004-12 Gran Canaria: Isaac's Sixth Birthday, redux
Sunday 19 December 2004, continued
Here we spend a few minutes with Gisela and Rainer, at their Deutsche Gasthaus Atlantis. They've go these four dolls which sing a synchronized "Happy Birthday" chorus.
Isaac and Lila (at far left) sit at the bench of honor at the bar. They're having a great time with butcher paper and crayons.
Lila is really having a good time, drawing and demonstrating her creations.
Later in the evening we dine at Omi Marga's. Everyone seems so animated in this panorama.
Why is it that the more you try to set up a perfect moment photo the more the kids wiggle? Here we are at the Café de Paris. Well, at least three of us are looking at the camera...
Here's the true moment of celebration: Isaac on the trampoline at the C. C. Yumbo. Last year he tried it, but was scared. This year he's been begging us to give him another go at it. He got a chance today, as a birthday wish, and he's succeeded beyond his wildest expectations. He's been grinning non-stop since.
We finish up the evening with Lila getting a chance at her choice of arcade games. Everyone is really tired, and it's more than time to get to sleep.
Tomorrow, I take both kids into Las Dunas del Maspalomas.
