2007 London & Gran Canaria: First stop-over: science and deli
15 December 2007 | |
Today's the day we're starting our trip. The kids are at a neighborhood art center, making Chanukah menorahs. The plane leaves this evening, so this mid-day diversion is just perfect.
At our first airport stop-over there's a great display excerpted from the local science museum. Lila is looking into a display of turbulance over sand dunes.
Isaac is at the next display, watching and interacting with a fog tornado.
Isaac takes this photo of an Air Canada plane, seen in the bay next to ours.
Electricity (for my laptop) and deli sandwiches (for my stomach and soul). A perfect moment (in a world with bad airport food and locked-away power outlets). Don't get me started about for-pay airport Wi-Fi; a more shameful thing I've never experienced in the modern world.
