2000 Italia: Desktops

desktop I find it soothing to have a favorite picture as the background image on my computer. Sometimes family and friends will do the same with an image they've seen on my web site. To that end I offer the following images to you should you want to spice up your computer. (I retain the copyrights to and reserve all other rights regarding these images). Images are stored here in the JPEG image format, at a size guaranteed to be no smaller than 1024 by 768 pixel (the screen size of my current PowerBook). The best technical support that I can provide on how to use one of these images as a desktop is to use your browser to download the image to your hard drive and then (Macintosh) drag or select the image to/via the Appearance Control Panel, (UNIX X Window System) use the xsetview -root imagename command, or (Microsoft Windows) right-mouseDown on your current screen background to bring up the appropriate section of the Display Control Panel. Please ask for no further details; I have none.

So, without further ado, here are images of Roma for those who would like to take a bit of Rome, Italy, with you as you compute.
