Venice We visited Venezia (Venice) first during our 1998 "honeymoon" trip to Cortina d'Ampezzo. What a great city! Unlike anything I imagined, even with the descriptions I'd heard over the years. It really is a city being consumed by the waters, a sad and glorious place.
