San Francisco Office of Emergency Services frequencies
From: Kit Brown, WB6QVU
Michael, KE6DZF,
Thank you for providing info on the simplex frequencies that we are using for the ERDs in San Francisco. We do need to get the word out. We are planning to get a mailing out to all hams in the City informing them of OES operations including these frequencies
Let me introduce myself: My name is Kit Brown, WB6QVU. I am the Database coördinator for the SF OES and am responsible for assigning these simplex frequencies. I have had to change several frequencies due to conflicts with existing usage, thus making some of your info outdated.
I have used only OES channels in assigning all frequencies. Actually these are not OES, but RACES channels assigned by state OES in Sacramento. You have ERDs 3, 4, 7, 9, and 10 listed correctly, but for completeness, let me list them all including the RACES channels for each.
Date: Thu, 22 Feb 1996 10:53:09 -0800
ERD | frequency | RACES |
---|---|---|
1 | 145.560 | 12 |
2 | 144.240 | 26 |
3 | 146.550 | 43 |
4 | 147.465 | 45 |
5 | 145.530 | 13 |
6 | 147.510 | 18 |
7 | 147.570 | 46 |
8 | 147.540 | 31 |
9 | 147.405 | 17 |
10 | 144.270 | 40 |
11 | 146.475 | 16 |
(ERD frequency 11 is recently added for the Presidio. It is not yet in operation however.)
Thanks for providing this info. Please consider joining us at OES. We have some 30-40 hams involved. We have monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at OES HQ at 1003A Turk St. @ 19:00. We have an info line at 415-703-6586. Feel free to e-mail me at asalazar@sfsu.edu or land-line at 415-863-1196. I hope to be getting my own e-mail address soon.
